The Fund is governed by a Board of Directors, responsible for establishing and keeping under review the investment objective and policy of the Fund.
 
 
 
 
Michael Steinberg
 
Michael's career in investment management spans over 36 years. He is the founding Managing Partner of Steinberg Asset Management, LLC, which manages over US$2 billion investing with a value strategy across small-cap, mid-cap, and all-cap for large institutions, endowments, foundations and wealthy family offices. Prior to 1982, he spent five years as a partner at Sloate Weisman Murray & Steinberg, a money management and brokerage firm. That association followed almost 10 years as a securities analyst, portfolio strategist, and money manager with Loeb Rhoades, which he joined after receiving a BS from Syracuse University and an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley. His research and portfolio views have appeared in a variety of industry publications.
 
 
 
 
Justin S. Steinberg
 
Justin has three years of investment experience. Justin is the MD, COO/Analyst at Steinberg Asset Management. Prior to joining SAM, he worked in the Investment Banking Division at Morgan Stanley covering a variety of industries and clients, with a focus on financial sponsors. Before joining Morgan Stanley, he served as a Senior Policy Advisor for Economic Development and Rebuilding under Mayor Bloomberg. He holds a BA in Political Science from Brown University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
 
 
 
 
Couldip Lala
 
Couldip is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He is a past Chairman of the Mauritius Stock Exchange Commission and has sat on several government enquiries / committees. Couldip was until 1993 an executive partner of the Mauritius representative firm of Arthur Andersen. He was responsible for all practice support and development, covering training, technical developments, marketing support and strategic planning. He is a director of SBI International (Mauritius) Ltd, an offshore bank subsidiary of the State Bank of India. Couldip is also a director of Indian Oil (Mauritius). He sits on the board of a large number of collective investment vehicles.
 
 
 
 
Rubina Toorawa
 
Rubina is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and holds a BSC (Hons) from the University of Manchester. Prior to joining IFS in March 1999, she was a Senior Manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers (Mauritius), with particular exposure in the financial, textile and tourism sectors, including management of overseas projects financed by international financial institutions such as the World Bank. She had previously worked for KPMG (Manchester) for 6 years, where she specialized in the Banking and Finance sector and Value for Money audits. She has over 17 years experience in accountancy, auditing, tax and consultancy. She serves as a director of offshore companies and investment funds.
 
 
 
 
Mudit Verma
 
Mudit has experience in financial services industry and has worked in family Industrial business as owner and operator. As a Director of Samara Capital, he has been involved in various aspects of investment management and portfolio related work across multiple industries.
